We both had relationships that broke up around March, and she wanted to hook up. She's from Surigao City, which I've been to before. We met in Cebu in late June, and spent a week there and in Bohol. Lovely time.

About early October she started talking odd, like she suddenly had money (she's dirt poor). One day she asked if she could visit me here in California, she said she was obtaining a tourist visa. I know that takes money, a good job, etc, and upon questioning her, she said she had fooled a man in NY to send her $1000 for the visa (to be obtained thru an agency). She said she was going to try to get the visa to come see me. I told her to send his money back, and apologize to him (Fred).
She said he had been supporting her, sight unseen, for several months. I thought this might be some kind of ruse, so I told her I needed to be sure of this, to send the money to me, and I'd return it to him. She actually WU the money to me (several times more than shes seen in her life). I thought that would be the end of it as we were planning our marriage. She promised she had not been in touch with him, and she would not do that again. She sent him (and me) an email ending the relationship, and asking him to send me his real address so I could send his $ back to him.

I never heard back, thought that odd, and asked her why. She said she emailed him and he justdidn't want it back, he was disgusted with her. So I sent him an email, and the add turned out tobe undeliverable. However, I was able to add him to my IM, I contaced him on the IM, and he and I were both surprised: she had told each of us that she had dumped the other. He was shocked that we were planning on getting married and that I would be visiting her on Dec. 21.

Needless to say, I was about to have it out with her. But it gets better. Back up a few weeks. I was showing her how to screen capture cam images and stuff on her screen, simply alt + prt scr to capture. She captured several things on her screen and sent them to me for fun at that moment, including me on the cam, and... wait for it.... HER YAHOO IM LIST window.

So.... I sent an email to everyone on that list saying that I was her fiancee, please wish us well. About 10 addresses. I got back a slew of angry responses in the next day or so, they are each a different boyfriend (well, actually monetary donors it would turn out). So there it was in black and white: numerous men who she was stringing along, saying she wanted to meet (she always had an excuse why she couldn't), asking them for money. Some guys sent me her emails to them, and some also sent their IM's. Very romantic, full of MAHAL KO, can you send me some money for my rent / son / medicine for sexual disease???

You get the pic. Actually I'll attach another pic or two. I ended the relationship shortly thereafter, just a few days before flying to Philippines to meet her and fill out our K-1 visa. After she was caught, she wanted like crazy to save our relationship. She even called my house 40 times one night, 4AM, waking my kids and me up. I'll include here her admission of guilt here. Sorry about the length. Her name is Nichie Lou Andion, she's not on DIA.

So what we have here is the classic story of a Filipina scamming multiple men for huge amounts of cash. But here the victim gets the lesson:

          Sending $

DW, HW, others. As an aside from my former fiancee's scamming, I think many of us make it easy for them to do this. She was scamming multiple men whom she'd never met. I was the only one she had met or inteneded to meet, and I wasn't the one sending her $ on a regular basis. She told many that she wanted to meet, get married, etc, but always made excuses why she couldn't. Isn't the rule of thumb to not send money to someone you haven't met?

Only one other guy that I'm aware of had not sent her any money, and when he wouldn't, she broke their 'engagement'. I think we make it easy for the girls when we do this. Some of the guys, having not been to a poor country, are sending her 2x, 3x what her monthly needs are. Amazing shes making bank. No wonder she rarely asked me for anything (made me curious). To each his own on this subject. Thoughts?

Notice that the only guy who didn't lose money in this scammer's web of lies was the guy who actually went to the Philippines and who never sent her money. I'm sure his feelings were hurt, but he had great times with her, and didn't lose any money. On the other hand, every guy who tried to stay at home and who sent her money, got taken.

Sgt. This does not sound like fun.

"An Education guy, one who can read. "

Despite the irony of her wanting an "education [sic] guy, one who can read," she has a good point. Read her profile and respond to it!

"I don't do web cam interview so please don't ask about me going on cam, because I won't. This is not what the dating sites are for. She won't go on cam --is it because she's using someone else's picture?

"Oh, and you guys that are going to write to and tell me ( that if I pay my way to your country, you are going to let me sleep with THEM, haha that is funny. If I have the power to go out from here, what makes you think that I would go to you... "

This is chilling. If she could get to your country, why would she need you? Mull that over.

If you were to marry her, which is what she wants, SHE STILL DOESN"T NEED YOU ONCE SHE'S IN YOUR COUNTRY!

If you got her over to your home country and she left you, you just got burned for a plane ticket. If she is married to you and she realizes that now that she's on terra firma in the US, you are no longer necessary, you are about to get taken for half of everything you own, plus monthly payments.

Furthermore, guys, why are you so damn lazy? Get off of your ass and get to the Philippines! In your home country, you're going to get stuck with bitter, grasping bitches like this.

IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, ME... THEN DON'T SEND BACK TO ME, THANKS...

This reveals an attitude. You must always keep in mind how easy it is for a woman to mass e-mail dozens of guys and make easy money.

Once was in a bar in Orchard Towers in Spore. Chatting to a Thai lady but wasn't so interested in paying to bonk her. Anyways we were talking and joking about pc's and she was saying how the internet cafe was so slow, etc.

So like any gentlemen I offered her to come back to my hotel nearby so she could send messages.

I logged in and for next 30 minutess sat in amazement as this lady (maybe a 7, but funny girl) sent email after email. All essentially with same content. "Hi honey. My mum/dad/brother/etc all sick. I love you forever etc. "

She must have sent about 30 emails. All to different guys. Cut and pasted contents, occasionally ask me how to spell " remittance" " urgently" etc.

There are lots of sad suckers out there, and none of us should (BUT WE ARE! ) fooled by internet expressions of love coupled with Western Union payouts.

Sgt. This is often used as a greeting, and is not intended to be nosy.

Today's model is Toni Gonzaga, a Philippine actress, TV host, and singer. You often see her in Philippine toothpaste and shampoo ads. It's as though this gal was sculpted from a single solid block of beauty.

Toni is very well liked nationally, in part because she is wholesome and free of the scandal and backbiting remarks so common among celebrities.

Sgt. Yet the two pictures look remarkably similar.

What could explain two different women in two different towns looking identical?

They are identical twins living on 2 separate islands and posting on the same dating site. Since they are sisters, they often share clothing, jewelry, and take pictures in the same place, perhaps during a family get-together.

One woman stole the other one's picture.

Both are scamming bitches who stole a third girl's picture.

I'm going with option #3.

Sgt. For all we know, some guy or an old lady could have posted this picture to the message.

Be aware that if you send her money, there is no guarantee what it will be used for. There is no guarantee that you will ever receive anything in return from her.

This summer I met a Filipina who earned money investigating Filipinas with foreign boyfriends. The results of her investigations were often unpleasant. She busted women lying about plane tickets, operations, and school enrollment. She was able to help one foreigner whose girlfriend was asking for money for tuition, when an investigation revealed she wasn't enrolled as a student.

There are several other items that raise suspicion in this profile:

She will accept a guy from 18-80. While this is not automatically a deal killer, most women (particularly young and attractive women) will be more selective. A scammer is willing to rip off any guy, no matter how old he is.

She is in southern Mindanao. Again, of itself, this isn't a deal breaker, but it's more difficult to check up on a girl in less traveled Mindanao than in Cebu or Manila.

The photo is awfully slick. Compare it to other girls' photos. Again, this is suspicious

The big kicker of it all though, is that it violates Rule #1 DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO A
WOMAN YOU HAVEN'T SLEPT WITH.

Sgt. I typically meet women in the Philippines and find myself asking, “What is she doing with me?” Having been married and divorced, and lived in alcohol-soaked misery and loneliness for years on end, it still amazes me to find myself with young, gorgeous women. And the sex is mind-blowing.

On the other hand, if you don't know where to go and what to do, you can get taken for everything you've got. In my travels in the Philippines I collect these stories of foreign men coming to the Philippines and getting ripped off. Some men are even murdered for their money.

So many men are ripped off over the Internet, but if they ever make it to the Philippines, the real theft begins in earnest.

Today I'd like to highlight just one guy, Tim, who was taken to the cleaners in the bowels of hell. (See here.)

Tim got involved with a woman, and this woman and her family are a nest of scorpions.

The following is a partial list of how Tim was scammed:

All of the sisters are involved in internet scamming - giving hard luck stories to 'clients' in order to get the client to send money, purchase PCs, etc. Ronalyn herself, on the pretense that she was 'in love' with me and was going to marry me, got me to dole out the following:

$6000 to rebuild her parents house because it had supposedly 'burned down'

$17000 to build the house she currently runs her studio from. That was supposed to be my retirement home

1 desktop PC at $400

1 laptop PC at $600

Many, many XOOM and Western Union money transfers in addition to the monies described above.

Tim's case is not a rarity. Imagine forking over $17,000 for a house, and then seeing that house used by your girlfriend and her family for Internet sex chat! Imagine seeing some harlot on an Internet chatroom and recognizing the curtains in the background --“That's my room!

Picture buying your girlfriend a computer, only to have it used for her to put on sex shows. How would you feel when you learn that another guy came over from the US when you were gone, had sex with your supposed future wife, and got her pregnant?

This is not an isolated case. I have heard dozens of these stories in person, as guys tell their tales of woe over a beer.

The easiest way to protect yourself is not to marry a Filipina.

Do not buy a house.

Do not put anything into a girlfriend's name.

Do not accumulate property such as motorcycles, cars, houses, expensive electronic gear (my cellphone in the Philippines is bought used for less than $20), boats, etc.

If you follow these rules you can really enjoy the Philippines. You can find love and happiness. And it might just save your life.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://meetphilippinewomen.blogspot.com/2008/11/danger-will-robinson-danger.html' title='Danger Will Robinson! My mentor says, “I don't need Viagra –I date 18 year olds.”

Of course, the point is that most men who are taking Viagra in the US are doing so because they are trying to have sex with geriatric hags.

Suppose I ask you to have sex with a corpse on my coffee table. When you fail to have an erection, I tell you that you have a problem. You are suffering from “erectile dysfunction.”

Suppose I ask you to eat road kill that has been on the asphalt for days and is now putrid. When you cannot eat without vomiting, I tell you have a problem. You have “digestive dysfunction.” I now have a pill to sell you that only costs $20 each, and will help you cope with your digestive dysfunction.

I hope you see the parallel –there is nothing wrong with you. You are not intended to have sex with corpses or eat rotten food. Your lack of arousal or digestive ability is NOT a sign of illness –rather, it is the body functioning as it should. You are not intended to have sex with women past childbearing age. You are meant to be attracted very young women capable of having children. These are healthy behaviors. An inability to get an erection for an old woman is a healthy behavior, not a sign of illness.

Taking a pill so you can have sex with an old woman is no different from taking an anti-nausea pill so that you can eat a putrid carcass.

So you can understand my total lack of interest in Viagra in the Philippines. Yet many men I talked to in the Philippines were Viagra users. The interesting difference was that Viagra users in the Philippines do not take Viagra in order to get an erection and have sex –they take Viagra so that they can have sex multiple times, to keep up with a younger partner, or to have sex with multiple partners.

In the US men take Viagra because they are desperate to have sex –some sex, any sex.

In the Philippines, men take Viagra because they have so many sexual opportunities that they can't begin to take advantage of all of them without help.

Sgt. Filipinos as a group are social in nature, and usually the group decides, rather than individuals. Filipinos are also not raised to be assertive and independent.

You should be prepared to suggest a place to go, something to do, or someplace to eat. Philippine Seduction is full of ideas.

Filipina or not, women expect you to take the lead, and appreciate it when you do. I know, it seems retarded --Can't we just discuss the options and agree on something? This is yet one more instance when you're better off being the bad boy jerk on a Harley and just telling her what the two of you are going to do.

A great response I heard to "It's up to you," is "It's up to us." This sounds good, as it includes her. It's one of the most common languages in the Philippines, in addition to Tagalog/Pilipino and Ilocano.

You don't have to be a master Visayan speaker in order to get great reactions from Filipinas. Just a few phrases in Visayan can:

Be Fun. Learning a new language is fun

Be Funny. Women get a kick out of your attempts to communicate

Convey Acceptance. Show yourself as someone who is interested in the country and the people, rather than an arrogant tourist

Help Communicate. Although the Philippines is officially an English-speaking country, many Filipinos speak little or no English. Many Filipinas speak a pidgin English that is understandable to them, but often puzzling to native speakers of English.

A brief note on pronunciation =The vowels are like Spanish vowels, only 'i' and 'e' are "flattened so that they sound similar, and so are 'o' and 'u'

You're cute.

Gwapa ka, 'day. (gwah -pah kah, "die," as in "Die, scum-sucking pig!")

"'Day," prounounced "die," is short for "inday," which means "girl/woman." It is a common form of address for any woman or girl you may talk to.

Sgt. Most Filipinas live lives of stultifying boredom. If she works as a shopgirl (and shopgirls are great Filipinas to meet for dating), she stands around for 8-10 hours a day. She sees the same things and the same people, and will spend hour after hour just waiting for something to happen.

When you as a foreigner enter the shopgirl's world, you are a movie star. Forget for a moment that you are middle aged, or past middle aged, or balding, or have a gut --you are wealthy, and an exotic break from the dreariness of her life.

Just by taking her to Jollibee's (the Filipino equivalent of MacDonald's) you are offering her a break from the routine. I once had a girl tell me, "We don't go to Jollibee's; it's too expensive." Imagine MacDonald's being too expensive!

Whether you take her to a fast food restaurant, or a nice restaurant, or to the beach, or someplace out of town, you are bringing color and excitement into her life.

One very successful line I had in my Internet dating profile was, "Are you ready for an adventure?" This line was seductive because it was challenging (In other words, "Do you measure up to my standards?") and because it promised a break from the bleak, repetitiousness of her life.

Don't dismiss bowling as too dull or redneck. Most Filipinas have never bowled in their lives. Don't dismiss a trip 40 miles out of town as a just a side trip --many girls haven't gone much farther than the other side of town, and if they have gone out of town, it may have been a long time ago.

One American (and I could bitchslap him) was sitting around in his room waiting for his girlfriend to get off work. Get out. Be adventurous. Be thinking, "What unique experience could I give her?"

Sgt. (Yes, at last.)

I studied the Filipino martial arts with a grandmaster of a close fighting style, and I met an incredible girl. I met her via Date in Asia.com. She was young with a great set of breasts (even though I'm much more interested in spiritual beauty, ha ha).

Date in Asia is a free dating site. Before going I lined up a bunch of women, maybe 10 or so, and got phone numbers. I think this is key number one, to line up a bunch of women. Earlier I wrote about an acquaintance of mine d I could choke him for not consulting me) whose single biggest mistake was focusing ever(anything on a single woman. I arrived in the Philippines with several prospects.

Plan A is not enough. Have plans B-Z.

As soon as I arrived I had an Australian friend and his girlfriend who were looking to set me up with a single girl they knew. A Filipino gentleman approached me and offered to set me up with a girl he knew. A girl walked up to me in Ayala Mall and started flirting with me. Things didn't go very far when I told her I was there to meet my girlfriend. These opportunities fell into my lap, not because I'm a Brad Pitt look alike, but simply because I got on a plane, dressed reasonably well, and come across as a decent guy.

The Scammer, and a Date at the Bowling Alley

So as soon as I arrived I texted Anne and a couple of other girls to try to set up a date. I got a reply from an unknown number and set up a meet in SM Mall. I assumed the girl was Gladys from Cordova.

When we met at SM Mall, the girl was not the one in the picture. I started to get upset. I was close to chewing her out for being a scammer and using fake photos, and so on. But I thought, "Screw it. I'm on vacation and here to have fun."

So the girl Gladys, her friend Marcela, and I agreed to go bowling. By the way, this is a great date idea in Cebu City. Neither of the girls had been bowling before, and anything new creates excitement. I paid about 300 pesos for an hour of unlimited bowling, and I had to buy the girls socks, for about forty pesos each. In all, I spent about 12-15 bucks.

I really didn't care at that point if the date led anywhere; I was just having fun. The girls' socks had American flags on them, so I told them they were "lucky American socks."

We bowled and the girls were horrible. I wasn't much better. Gradually Marcela went from getting gutter balls to scoring the occasional strike. And I started to notice Marcela. She was cute, with a fun-loving, easy going way about her.

But how could I make a move on Marcela without offending Gladys? Of course, in my mind Gladys was just a scammer and deserved whatever she got. But still, it wasn't in me to be rude to Gladys.

The date ended and we said good-bye. I chalked up Marcela as the one that got away. And I had fun. What the hell, I was on vacation, with no bills, no work, no hassles, in a tropical paradise packed to the rafters with beautiful women. Hey, life was great.

Plan B

So I got back on the phone and texted Anne again. "Let's meet," I suggested.

"We already met," she replied.

"What?" My mind was racing.

"I'm 'Marcela,'" she explained.

I was floored. I didn't recognize her from her picture online, but now I could see the resemblance. When I had texted her, Marcela (Anne is her middle name.) had used her friend Gladys as a screen. This way she could observe the guy she was interested in without the pressure of going out on a date. She could be the "fly on the wall" carefully observing if this guy was the type of guy she was looking for.

The desperate kind of guy who would settle for anybody would wind up with her friend Gladys. Which was good for Gladys and good for Anne, as it saved her from the desperate loser types out there.

The Importance of Plans B-Z

Anne was my girlfriend all this summer, and she still writes me. She was dynamite in bed, in addition to being the most easy-going, easy to like woman I've ever met.

Many times I've looked back and realized just how close I was to blowing it. If I had yelled at Gladys "the scammer" and stormed off, I would have missed the opportunity of a lifetime. But because I had multiple women lined up and confidence in my ability to find one (or several), I was able to play the hand I was dealt --which looked like an online scammer and her tag along friend out for a free lunch-- and win with it.

The importance of Plan B is not just to give you a back up option of Plan A fails, but to help you win with Plan A. Knowing you have Plan B, as well as Plans C, D, E, etc. means that you come across as relaxed. You are not trying to force the situation out of desperation.

Sgt. It sucks.

Now try being a middle class divorced guy in the US. It sucks even worse.

It's a real bitch, the feeling of invisibility, being unable to get a woman to notice you. There are long, long periods of loneliness, followed by desperately reaching for some woman. There's the first date that goes nowhere, and ends miserably after you've spent more money than you can afford.

It's miserable, being stuck in the friends zone with the women you want. And the women you wind up settling for are often bitter, with a whole freight car full of kids and baggage. No wonder pornography is booming on the Internet.

But there is hope. I know from experience, because I was a lonely, angry divorced guy with kids, drinking as a way of handling my frustration. Whoever said "winning isn't everything" was full of shit. Winning matters. Especially when losing means being alone, empty, frustrated, angry, bitter, and drunk.

I found hope in the Philippines. When I was finally in bed with an incredibly young and beautiful Filipina, it had the feeling of total unreality. This was not the sort of thing that happened to me. I was used to bullshit, to begging women for dates, to getting burned and rejected when I wasn't invisible. I was afraid the medication would kick in and I'd find myself on a park bench, alone as usual.

But it was real. And when you're lying in bed with a slim, tan, Filipina stretched out nude, or you're holding her hand in a darkened movie theater as she leans against you, close enough that you can smell her long black hair, the feeling is one of incredible power. It's like being alive after shuffling through a mediocre existence as a zombie. It's like coming out of depths of a coal mine, with a blackened face and eyes squinting in the sunlight, which for years had been nothing but a fantasy.

If I could bottle the feeling of being with a gorgeous Filipina, no one would buy crack.

A lot of people talk crap about having a purpose and "making the world a better place." Usually this involves recycling, or saving albino fur seals, or helping some waif in Africa get a fresh bowl of mush. My idea of making the world a better place is to get you the hell out of the bullshit in the US and into the Philippines, where you can find love with a young, sexy woman.

It's as simple as being in the US and being miserable, or being in the Philippines, and being out-of-your-mind insanely, deliriously happy. I've been there and I've done it, and I want to help you find happiness, too.

Sgt.
